How Often Should I Jog If I'm Skinny?!


Question: How Often Should I Jog If I'm Skinny!?
I'm 14 years old, at 5''8 and i weigh 110lbs!. So you can imagine how tall and awkward that would be : P I have a very high metabolism and i don't go jogging to burn off calories or anything like that!. I just want to get in shape for school, basketball, and track!. I usually jog for 20 minutes every second day!. Is that too much!? Just right!? Not enough!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it really is whatever feels right for you!. if you feel good and healthy now and you are doing 20 minutes every second day, then you are just fine doing that!. Trying doing 30 minutes every second day, or 20 minutes two days in a row and see how that feels!. Do anything that works for you!.

You may also want to do a little weight training to get some extra muscle for sports!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should probably do a combo of long jogs and short, constant 40-yard sprints, doing one the first day than the other the second day!. Maybe do the running for 30-50 minutes!. That would be a good workout to build up your stamina!. I suggest you rest one or two days per week as well!.

Consider a bit of light weight lifting, too!. That way, in basketball, you can push people around in the paint!.

If you start losing weight (which I'm sure you don't want to happen), just start eating more!. You'll need extra calories and protein for the workouts anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds pretty good to me!. And jogging is great for more than just losing weight, just sitting around because you're skinny won't do you any good!. It's great that you want to jog!. Just because you're skinny, doesn't mean you're healthy, so I'd keep up the good work and continue to jog at a pace that feels right to you!. jog as much as you want!. Its good that u actually want to excersize!. as long as u have a healthy diet you wont get to skinny or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
