How many calories should I be eating a day? To lose a little weight-and keep me !
Question: How many calories should I be eating a day!? To lose a little weight-and keep me with energy!.
okay im 17 years old, 5'5'', and 115-117 lbs!.
I workout 6 days a week most of the time!.
I run 2-3 miles 6 days a week, 300 crunches all ways, sometimes pilates, sometimes machines at the gym!. On top of this, four days a week i have a 3 hour practice outside!.
So i am getting a decent amount of exercise in!.!.!.but i need to know how many calories i need to eat!.
I currently eat 1200-1400 calories a day its all healthy foods though!. All lean meats, grilled chicken, salad, lots of fruits, lots of veggies, whole wheat bread, whole grain foods, low fat/no fat dairy products, no fried/greasy foods!.
so I know how to eat well!. But I just need to know how many calories to eat!.
I didnt workout yesterday due to sickness, and i may not be able to today if I dont start feeling better!.
how many cals can i eat on days i DONT work out to still lose a little weight!?

It looks like you're doing all the right things!. Surely you don't want to lose any more weight, right!? At 5'5", your weight is already a tad low!. If you're just trying to get healthy and toned, then keep up what you're doing!. I normally suggest that people only weigh once a week (when losing) but it's a good idea to weigh every day once you've reached your goal!. You'll have to play around with it a little to get it perfect and then I'd suggest eating maybe 200 calories less if you don't work out!. Because you're pretty active, you can get a "rule of thumb" number by multiplying your weight by 17-20 to get a calorie range!. 117 times 17 is 1989 calories, so make 2,000 your goal on days you workout intensely, 1800 for a mild workout, and maybe 1600 if you don't workout at all!.!.!.See how that works for you!. That is way too few calories!. Try eating about 1700-1800 a day (even when you're not working out)!. You're young, and with that amount of activity you won't start to gain weight until you eat 3500 calories a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
