Question: How do I lose weight, I'm 13!.!.could i join a weight watchers or something like that!?
Im 13 going into 8th grade and would like to become thin/healthy/fit
right now im overweight and would like to shape up!.!.so plz help me with ideas!.!.!. and i don't want to resort to anorexia or bulemia if possible!. Give me ideas on quick workouts i can do and food ideas and stuff like that thnx

Proud of you hun for wanting to be healthy!.
Is there a sport or activity you can go out for that you would like to try!. That would be the first step!. If your parents can't afford to have you do that, that's ok there will be something at your school you can do!. You also can round up your family and tell them you want to go on a walk in the park or bust out your bikes and go on a bike ride!. Also, get a workout buddy like one of your friends!. It will help you to have that extra support where you both can help each other!.
You can go to your local library and rent some really cool exercise dvds or watch the fit channel and work out with that do!
How about doing something like offering to walk some of the neighborhood dogs!. Not only will you lose weight and get strong you'll make some extra money for yourself in the process PLUS have some cute buddies to play frisbee with!

Diet wise!. Drink water instead of pop!.
Eat lots of salads, whole grains and lots of veggies and go online with a grown up and learn about calories, fat grams and carbohydrates and proteins!.

cut out all pop(or soda as some people call it) juice etc!. These are called empty calories and will make you gain weight but dont fill you up like food!. Also cut out all junk food candy chips etc!. Maybe once in a while treat yourself to some junk food but not everyday!. Also exercise walk,run!.swimming etc!. You can do sit ups in your house when you cant go out!. Or a aerobic video!. Also another thing I did in the past that really helps is get yourself a notebook and write down everything you eat!. A lot of times we eat things and dont realize how much we are eating this is a good way to keep track of it!.
Grapefruit is also known to help you burn calories!. If you feel the need to eat out try subway they have the low fat menuWww@Answer-Health@Com

well eating disorders are the worst way to go but the fastest!.i lost 115 pounds!.i went from 265 pounds to 150 pounds in less than 6 months!.but the consequences are dire!.and im a guy!.so never take that root!.and weight watchers just drains your pockets!.i did th ejenny craigs BS and it never works!.and it taste horrible!.just limit what you eat and drink a full glass of water if you get hungry thats what i do to maintain wha i am now!.and the strange part is that im still losing weight from my original goal!.im a 16 year old guy by the way!.i fell for ya hang in there!.people are so critical!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drink lots of water and walk a lot!.!.!. you'll lose weight just by walking alone!. Try to go with a friend or your parents!. Plus you're only 13- you're still growing!.!.!. when you get a little taller your weight will be more proportionate don't worry :) Www@Answer-Health@Com
