I just came from the dr and was told I need a low/no carbohydrate diet. What exactly does this consist of? and does anyone have any good ideas , recipes or websites to recommend to me..thanks

This is for a diabetic reason...Ive heard that low/no carb diets can be dangerous, is this also true?

I think he means SLOW carb rather than no carb. Replace white bread with whole grain. Replace white rice with brown. Eat Triscuits instead of saltines. Eat 1 portion with each meal. Plenty of vegetables, enough protein for your body weight, limited fruits (don't load up on fruit all day), and healthy fats like olive oil, walnuts, avocados.
