How good of an indicator do you think the BMI chart is for being over/underweigh!

Question: How good of an indicator do you think the BMI chart is for being over/underweight!?
Granted I am not there now, as I just had a baby 3 months ago!.!.!.but I was looking at that chart, and calculated my pre-pregnancy weight 148 and height 5'5, and it had me as overweight!. I eat very healthy, and have run 7-9 miles a day, 5 days a week for years (sometimes more!)!. I think that thing is outadated and doesn't take into consideration other factors!.!.!.what about you guys!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You probably have more muscle, therefore BMI is virtually useless to go by!. It doesn't take into account anything but height and weight!.!.!.!.not age, gender, frame size, muscle mass or fat distribution!.

If you want to make sure you are healthy then check your waist size and body fat percentage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I usually just use it as a benchmark of types!.
But you probably are just musclely, which is why your BMI is higher!.Online BMI calculators don't take into account gender, age, body build or even muscle!. BMI isn't perfect but I think it's an okay thing just to be able to check and see!. I mean, if you know you have muscles, then you'll know you aren't overweight like the BMI tells you you are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
