Question: When it comes to push ups
Regular push ups, toes on the ground, how much of your body weight are you actually pushing "up"!. Also, if it is your entire body weight, why can't you bench press that same weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The true purpose of the push up is not to just work the triceps but the entire body!. The position demands that you work the abdominals, legs, chest, arms, and back!. The movement also works ones balance!. You do not lift your own body weight but the upper body!. Most people cannot bench press their body weight!. If you want to do that learn how to do a handstand!. Once you have that down try doing a push up from a handstand position!. That is a great workout and if you can do that don't worry about the amount you can bench press!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
cuz benching more directly works the chest muscles as push ups work chest and arms and shoulders more then just chest so push ups are easier in that sense so u can do more and u are doing ur whole body weight just using more muscles so it's less stress on ur chest!.!.and the bench more concentrated on ur chest so u do less weight until u build up that chest and relli some pple bench more than they weigh!.!.just less reps ur right!.!.
