I'm working on gaining weight and lifting at the same time... what should I be l!

Question:

I'm working on gaining weight and lifting at the same time... what should I be lifting?

I am 5'6" and started out at 100 lbs. last year at this time. I'm not 120 lbs, and I'm trying to bulk up at the same time as I'm gaining the weight, but I'm not sure exactly what I should be lifting. I have barbells, dumbbells, a hyper extension bench, and an older nordic-flex machine, so combined w/ these, what are the best exercises I should be doing (lifting wise). I don't want to do too much w/ legs since I already run up to 15 miles a day, so I'm mostly trying to focus on core strength. TIA

Also I know running slows down the process, but that's my #1 priority and I'm gaining slowly so that's all I'm concerned about.

Answers:

running doesn't have to slow down the process. just increase your daily calories to compensate for the cardio. and remember just running isn't going to build your leg muscles in the same way as using weights.......

your diet is gonna be key. find out your daily required calories then up it by a few hundred calories and spread your meals over the day, preferably into 6 meals.

you should be able to find heaps of exercises on the internet to do. just make sure to monitor your progress and see what works and what doesn't. if you're genuinely serious and want more info then send me an email. good luck either way. :)
