Is it true that 3500 calories is one pound?!

Question: Is it true that 3500 calories is one pound!?
Does that mean that if I burn 3500 calories every two days, then I lose one pound!? Does it matter how it's lost!? ie!. treadmill, gazelle, walking, etc!?

Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, 3500 calories = one pound!. The healthiest way to lose weight is to decrease your caloric intake by 500 calories (so that it's not drastic) and then burn another 500 calories every day through exercise and activity!. If you do that, you've set yourself up for a loss of 2 pounds a week, which in my opinion, is enough to stay motivated!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, 3500 calories is one pound, but you would have to be fasting or something in order to burn 3500 calories in one day!. THink of it this way- one mile on the treadmill is about 100 calories burned!.!.!. so you would have to run 35 miles a day to burn off one pound!.

well, not exactly- your body will fight loosing weight- it wants to store excess as fat in case we end up starving- our bodies aren't very smart sometimes, but you just have to keep it up, and eventually the fat will come off!. be patient, and don't give up!. i think all machines have their own good points- if you own them all, then by all means use them all!. if you are going to a fitness centre, same thing- use them all!. if you are at home, try swimming, brisk walks, jogging, bicycling, playing sports, anything to get moving!. good luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It varies somewhat among individuals!. But yes, if you have a caloric deficit of 3500 calories, 1 pound will be gone from somewhere!. It won't necessarily all be fat though, especially if your deficit is more than 500 cals a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In orde rot burn that 3500 you would have to lose 5000 (plus the amount u eat)!. Burning that much is almos timpossible
