Can you lose weight by diet alone?!


Question: Can you lose weight by diet alone!?
I mean no strenuous exercise!? Will I lose weight really slowly if i just eat 1200 cal a day and not do strenuous exercise!? I will join the gym soon i hope but i have social anxiety and its frightening right now to go out in public, so when i can i will get the the gym but until then will I lose weight without the gym!? yes you can lose weight!. some peoples answers on here are scary!.!.!.200 cals a day!?!?!?!? don't listen to that crap!!! Exercises does help you to lose it faster and tone you up tho!.!. so you might want to try to do something!. you don't have to go to the gym, you can get great home DVD's to work out to!.!.!.or even going for a walk is great! put on some music and dance! its all about getting your body moving!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, no!. If you want to lose weight by only eating less, then you can only have about 200 calories, which is ridiculous!. To lose weight you have to eat right and you MUST exersise!. So if you want to have something to do before you go to the gym, i suggerst running, biking, or rollerblading!. Or if you live in an apartment building you can run up and down the stairs!. Also don't get caught up in those commercials for the machines, a lot of times they dont help at all, so just use the ways that you dont have to pay $700 for!. Have fun (;

ABSOLUTELY, YES!!!!!! Finally, someone understands!. the calorie intake should be 1200 per day, which is enough to maintain normal bodily functions and use your stored fat for energy!. The daily intake should be balanced!. You could have 3 candy bars a day, that would equal 1200 calories!. My clients lose 10 to 15 pounds a month without ever stepping foot in a gym!. absolutely! i lost 25 kg (55 lb) without any exercise!. i'm afraid i'm not sure what 1200 cal really consists of, i just cut unhealthy foods out of my diet (mostly, if i really love something or have a craving i have a small portion occasionally and early in the day), reduced portion size, ate a big heathy breakfast and made a big lunch the main meal of my day, with very small snack-like early dinners!. i also drank lots of green tea, not sure if it helped specifically, but at the very least it replaced snacks which would otherwise be fattening!.

it took me about a year to lose 20 kg (and it wasn't easy) and another to lose the last 5 kg!. i'm sure if you exercised you would lose weight quicker, but remember you also need to adjust what you're eating to compensate for the energy you're burning!.

i also think that for most people, if you exercise but don't watch your diet, you wont lose weight!. the amount of exercise you would have to do to burn off the kj from a bad diet is just unrealistic!. my father does heaps of exercise, but he eats badly, and just keeps putting on weight!.

if you can only focus on one thing, make it the diet, once you've worked that out, you will be set for life (i'm not talking about 'a diet', which you end once you've lost weight, i'm talking about what you eat everyday to stay healthy and maintain a good weight)!. exercise is great for you, it shouldn't be part of your life, not just be something you do to lose weight!. but when weight loss is concerned, you need the diet first!.

since i've lost weight i've started working out, mainly fitness and firming!. when i was overweight exercise was so miserable, i just couldn't deal with it along with getting my diet under control, now gym is fun! i also have a connective tissue disorder which makes my joints very vulnerable and unstable, so any strenuous exercise was painful and possibly dangerous while i was carrying extra weight!.

finally everyone is different, with a different metabolism, i found weighing myself regularly helped me understand how my body responded to different things, to i could work out what worked for me!. only do this if you think you'll be able to avoid getting too hung up on the number, you don't want to go to far! i actually found it helpful, because i meant i could go and indulge a bit, know how my body had responded and know that i could get straight back on track!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
