Biceps and triceps?!

Question:

Biceps and triceps?

Can you get your triceps stronger without getting your bicep stronger? For example can continually get your triceps stronger and never do a single curl ever.

You guys are getting my question misunderstood. First, I’m not saying that doing curls is going to strengthen my triceps. Second, my goals aren’t to get huge muscles. Lastly, the only reason why I asked is because I do Olympic lifting and you don't really use your biceps in those lifts. Anyways I read somewhere on the internet that in order to have a strong tricep you must also have a strong bicep.

Answers:

How do triceps make up 80% of your upper body? What about lats, traps, pecs, deltoids, rhomboids, erector spinae, you don't mean to say that all those put together only account for 20% of your upper-body muscle mass, do you???

Yes, but why? Are you trying to adjust an imbalance? I'd recommend not quitting biceps training but just doing more for triceps than you do for bi's.

Triceps exercises include arm extensions, kickbacks, cable pulldowns, dips, etc. --not curls.
