Can fat cells be destroyed?!

Question:

Can fat cells be destroyed?

Any links would be helpful as to why or why not.

Answers:

No, and you really wouldn't want to destroy them!
As you need energy, they act like small sponges and supply
energy to your blood. When you eat too much, they store the excess and plump up. The problem is not in HAVING the fat cell, the problem is when the cell (sponge) gets to gigantic proportions. That's why its best to eat six small meals a day.
You will always have energy (for the next few hours) and there will be little excess to be stored as fat. Good Luck!
