I have to run 3 miles...!!!!!
Question: I have to run 3 miles!.!.!.!!!!
in under 30 minutes, I'm a 15 year old girl and I have cross country practice today at 6!. The coach is timing us on running 5k or 3!.1 miles!. She wants us to get under 30 minutes!. Does anyone have any advice!? I'm nervous and I'm a slow runner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try not to start out too fast!. The trick is to find a pace that you are comfortable with!. Once in a strong pace you will notice your breathing isn't as heavy as it was when you started the race!. Stay at this pace for the 2nd mile!. For the third mile, open up your stride and remember you have arms, so pump them too!. This last mile should be your strongest!. Open up your stride even more for the last 800m!. At this point you should still feel strong and your breathing pace should be almost maxed!. For the last 400m keep your stride strong!. The last 200m should be a sprint and your whole body should feel like rubber!.
I have found that the biggest trick to running these kind of races is your mentality!. If you believe that you can do it then you can!. During the race you'll feel like you want to quit at times, but just remember that you run because this is what you love!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't rush when you start off then you will be ok!. Just do the first half at a comfortable pace, you will do it in less than 30 no problems!. Control your breathing and if you get to out of breathe slow down for 30 seconds and take deep breathes!. Hey, you will be ok you will see, good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
Make sure your hydrated and don't eat anything to close to when your going to be running to prevent cramps!. Also just keep pushing yourself to keep going and pace youself so you don't get to tired!. Don't be nervous!.
