Dumbell curls, bad arm pain?!

Question:

Dumbell curls, bad arm pain?

I recently started working out, and one of my exercises was doing dumbell curls. i obviously overdid it and didn't stretch enough becuase i am very hurt. I can't straighten my left arm or fully bend it. This is the third day and it is getting worse. Especially after i sleep, I think I am flexing it in my sleep and further straining it. My question is, should I try and stretch the muscle by pulling my arm straight and pushing it all the way bent or should I try and move it as little as possible. Just don't know what will make it heal quicker. I have been using icy hot and advil but they don't seem to really help. Just wondering if forcing it straight and then bent would make it worse or if it would help ease the muscle. It is actually swollen and if you rub it feels quit knotted and very very tender. thanks

Answers:

You probably pulled a muscle out of place. This happen to me too except it didn't pull all the way out so I had to wait for it to fix its self. What really helped is anti-inflammatory medicine. Good luck.
