My daughter wants a completely healthy lunchbox, any ideas what to put in?!

Question: My daughter wants a completely healthy lunchbox, any ideas what to put in!?
also can you be specific please like if you say fruit, what kind of fruit!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
your daughter needs starchy food like bread, so add a sandwich:
*use brown bread or if she doesn't like a boring brown bread sandwich use multi-grain wraps! there healthy too
*stuff the sandwich/wrap with salad
*your daughter needs protein, so fill it up with something like ham, turkey, egg, cheese, tuna etc
*cut down on the mayo and butter, even low fat mayo is still very unhealthy, if you MUST have butter, usemargarinee instead

ALTERNATIVELY:
if your daughter doesn't want a sandwich, you can give her a salad, pasta, rice etc!

extra stuff:
*your daughter needs a dairy item, so add a nice organic/healthy/pro-bioticic yogurt
*and again for dairy add a LIGHT cheese string, the light ones are healthier
*add a nutri-grain/cereal bar
*your daughter needs 5 a day, so add a piece of fruit

drink & dessert:
*for a drink have water as that has 0 caleries 0 sugar etc or if she doesn't like water you can add no added sugar sqaush which practically has nothing in it or milk, but watch out for some orange juices as they are high in sugar
*if she MUST have a desssert, you can give her a low fat custard pot, a low fat rice pudding, a low sugar jelly pot etc

hoped i helped xx =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could try giving your daughter a different fruit each day!.

Here's a list to be thinking of!. !. !. !.
apple
pear
banana
grapes
strawberries
kiwi fruit
orange

The above are manageable and easy eating!.

One of the most outstanding foods for mankind is honey!. Thus, a sandwich of wholemeal bread, with real butter and honey at least once a week is an absolute delight!.

Don't forget the fish - sardine sandwich, pilchard sandwich or if you can afford it, salmon sandwich!. They all come in cans, ready!.

The meats to include such as roast beef, ham, corned beef etc!.

The basic rule of thumb is !. !. !. !. !.
cheese
fish
eggs
meat
!. !. !. !.a combination of these protein foods through the five day school week are a good balance!.

Example

Monday Sandwich box for school
1 apple
1 whole meal bread with butter and honey sandwich
1 sardine sandwich
4 strawberries
1 mini bag of peanuts
1 mini box of raisins [California]

The above is both interesting and colourful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well you can make her a salad and have her help you so you know what she likes in salad!. Also on the fruit have her pick it out so she fills she made her lunch so that way you can see what shes putting in there so you know for next time!.

-Salad
-carrots(vegetables)
-fruit (any kind that she eats)
-yogurt
-water bottle or Gatorade

put some fruit pieces in there, like chopped apples with grapes!.

I'd also advise putting a banana in it to keep her energy levels going!.

Instead of making a sandwich, make her a pasta salad instead!.

If you must make a sandwich then make sure you use wholemeal bread, and fill it with something healthy like a salad (tomatoes, carrots, lettuce etc) with a sprinkling of cheese!. (not too much though! just a pinch)

A low fat yoghurt that is pre + pro-biotic is a healthy option too :)

Instead of crisps, put in chopped carrot sticks, with a low fat dip!.

Dried fruits are also a good option like raisins, apricots, bananas!.

Oh, and make sure you give her a mineral water too!.

Hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well wraps are meant to be healthy!. So why not try putting in a salad (cucumber, carrot, lettuce, tomato etc) and meat (chicken, beef, duck, ham - whatever she likes really) wrap!.
And I personally like carrot and cucumber just by themselves!.
Depending on her age and what she eats at home you might want to include yogurt or cheese, but not the over anything that is over processed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A baked or grilled skinless chicken breast on multi-grain bread!. Apple slices, or berries are a good alternative to chips!. Carrot sticks, or celery sticks!. A Ziploc baggie full of non-buttered air popped pop corn!. Water!.

Other Suggestions: make tortilla wraps instead of bread slices for sandwiches!. Avoid all carbonated drinks!. Include a nice little note of encouragement and congratulations for her healthy eating habits too!.

Banana, grapes, dried fruit (raisins, etc), cereal bar, unsalted nuts, pumpkin seeds (really healthy), brown bread sandwiches, cherry tomatoes, carrot, cucumber and celery sticks, mineral water!. It's great that your daughter is taking an interest in eating well - perhaps you should take her to a health food shop for more ideas!? Good luck! xWww@Answer-Health@Com

lets see, you could first for the drink give her like!.!.!.the little small bottles of apple juice, or a good juice!. not like juicy juice cuz it has lots of sugars and stuff!. then for the main attraction, you could make a sandwich with some turkey or chicken or something, but but it on wheat bread with no mayo or anything like that, but add some lettuce, or tomatoe if she eats that!. then for fruits, you could change it up every day such as apples, bananas, grapes!.!.!.crap like that's good and healthy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh well, you should put in an apple if she likes apples, a juice box no chocolate milk or anything like that!. Maybe a healthy sandwich like tuna sandwich on wheat or a plain turkey or ham sandwich with a side like a LITTLE container of mashed potatoes with no salt!. :) that is a very healthy lunch!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is what I liked :]

Bottle of water
Strawberries
Carrot sticks with light cream cheese dip
Tuna or Chicken breast sandwich with lettuce on a wheat roll
Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mushrooms, carrot)

If it's cold and she doesn't mind taking a flask she could have soup instead of a sandwich!.

Good Luck :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

-wrap turkey, lettuce, low fat cheese and mustard in a whole wheat tortilla!.
-pack an apple or a pear, or cutting up some mango or canteloupe and putting it into a container would be a good idea too!.
-include a small milk or water bottle!.
-for a treat choose a cookie-brand 100 calorie pack!.

good luck (:Www@Answer-Health@Com
