Question: What are some good weight loss tips for a teen
I'm 12 and i'm really over weight can someone give me some good tips on how to loss weight in a short amount of time

Answers:
At 12 dieting is not safe and is more so unlikely to stay off as your body is going through many changes!.

At your age your body needs 1600 to 1800 calories per day!.

However, you can make these changes safely:
Use lower fat dairy products
Snack on fresh fruits and vegetables
Drink 4 glasses of water per day
Cut out sodas, fast and junk food
Broil or bake food, not fry
Use whole grain products
Eat leaner meats
Drink more water than juice

Also, eating 5 to 6 times a day (smaller meals) will help your energy, blood sugar levels as well as stabilize your metabolism!.

Do NOT take diet pills and do not detox!.

Breakfast is really important, so never skip it!.

Find something active that you like to do!. Swimming, skating, basketball, bowling!. A half hour a day is plenty and any activity counts!.

Lastly, ask your doctor to refer you to a Nutritionist!.!.!. you will be surprised by what you learn and she/he can discuss meal plans with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

GENERAL MOTORS WEIGHT LOSS DIET*



The following diet and health program was developed for the employees and the dependants of General Motors Inc!.




The program was developed in conjunction with the grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration!. It was first tried at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation at a general meeting on August 15, 1995!.




General Motors Corporation wholly endorsed this program and is making it available to all employees and families!. This program will be available at all General Motors Food service facilities!.




It is the managementa!?!?s intention to facilitate a welfare and fitness program for everyone!.




This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs!. per week!. It will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects!. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value!. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications!. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being!. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds!. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition!.




During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day!.




DAY ONE

All fruits except bananas!. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want!. It is suggested you consume lost of watermelon and cantaloupe!.

Exercise! Exercise! Exercise!
Try to go running, or if you have a pool thats a great way to get exercise, ride your bike, go for a walk!.
If you have a dog(s) take them with you on a walk/run for a bit they will love it as well!.


Also try to eat healthier!.
Im not saying not to eat, im saying to eat more fruits and vegetables instead of junk foods suck as candy, chips, etc!.
But since your still young make sure you do eat! I have seen so many young kids try to loose weight by not eating and its horrible, half of them end up with an eating disorder or they don't get enough nutrients!.
