Measuring your waist question?!

Question: Measuring your waist question!?
hi there!.
i have heard that measuring you waist is a better indication of how healthy you are, than your BMI!.

So, i know this sounds like a silly question, but where do you take the measurements from, is it on the belly button, or below that, or above that!?

and am i right in thinking that if you are are white female, its dangerous for this measurements to be over 35 inches!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You measure here: http://www!.bodygenie!.com/include/site/im!.!.!.

It depends on height but generally anything over 32 inches is 'overfat' and anything over 35 inches is 'obese'!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take the measurement from the widest point!.
it is best to have someone else do the measurement if possible and the tape should not be tight!. just tight enough to not fall off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I always take it right on the belly button!. I have lost 3 inches around the belly button so it works! I wouldn't say dangerous, I would say that this is the normal american waist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a 12 stone guy and my waist is 30 inches so any bigger than 32 on a woman is a no no to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree that your waist line is a measure of how healthy!. If it is flabby or floppy then you need to get healthierWww@Answer-Health@Com
