You might consider 2 weeks of extreme, strenuous exercises to prepare you for basics. When your ready to quite, keep going, then do 50 pushups for good measures.
At the bare minimum, prepare yourself in advance for heavy breathing. The DI's will have a field-day with you if your coughing and weezing from the first run.
2 weeks of excessive prepping is better than non at all.
