Muscle is active tissue!. It requires more calories just to keep itself alive!. Fat is basically dead weight!. Your body needs some degree of fat for insulation and to act as a shock absorber for any blows you might receive, but most people have far too much fat!. Fat just sits there as stored energy!.

Muscle is an active tissue!. It needs calories to maintain itself!. Fat is just the opposite!. It is calories just stored up in your body for your muscle to use when you cant find food!.
