If your fat, just work out while running on your body's "maintenance" calories!. You'll gain muscle because its easier to gain as a novice, and you'll lose fat because your working out and such!.
Work on compound movments like pull ups, bench, squats, deadlift!.
Don't do isolation exercises (i dont need to explain it, you can assume via the name)!. Use free weights if possible in replace of Resistance Machines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
