Question: Is this normal for jogging
Ok, so i am not very fit and I am trying to jog regularly!. The only thing that's bothering me is that I can only jog for like half a mile or less and then my shin bone area starts to really hurt so I have to walk!. Is it because I haven't been very active or is it the way I am jogging!.

Another problem i have Is after half a mile my throat starts too hurt from the air!. And it's not even that cold!. So i usally jog for half a mile then walk half a mile then jog half a mile and so on!. When I see other people go it seems like they can just go on forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its called Shin splints!. This is the beginning of a stress fracture in you shins, seek a doctor before continuing to run!. He may want you to do an activity that has less impact on your legs like cycling!.

sounds like shin splints - get good running shoes and you probably need to adjust your running position!. you'll find good upright positions on the internet!. back straight, don't cross your arms over your body (imagine if you're elbowing someone, thats the right way)!. alot of women sway their hips which can cause shin splints!.
