Yes cycling is good for weightloss, but a person also needs to cut their calorie intack along with the exercise. Doing both you will be surprised at how fast the excess pounds will come off.
How long, they say at least half n hour a day or longer. I have a stationary bike, and you can adjust the tension on it, start out with a light workout, then eventually to a hard workout.
If you have a regular bike, ride as many miles as you can, again starting out slowly.
Another good exercise is walking.
