How many servings of fruits and vegetables does it recommend each day? From what I remember this is considered a food group.

I believe it's 3-5 servings (yes it is a food group). You should generally aim to eat two fruits and two veggies daily. If you have a hard time with this, incorporate some vegatables into your dinner by slicing up broccoli and putting it into your pasta for example. Or chop up a banana and put it in your morning cereal.
