Weight loss question for the experts...?!

Question:

Weight loss question for the experts...?

i have been on a diet (weight watchers) since january and i have lost 15 lbs. i want to lose just 10 more lbs., but for some reason it just doesn't want to come off. what do i need to do to lose that last 10? how long on the treadmill should i do each day? and another question, how do you know if you lost fat, rather than water weight? and 1 more question, how do you lose fat, and not water weight? thank you in advance to everyone who helps me!

Answers:

The last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose no matter whether you have lost 15 before or 50! Sometimes all you need to kick a plateau is change - try something you don't usually do - do you run on a treadmill? Take it outside - the change in running style, the heat from outdoors, and the extra work pavement takes could be the thing that breaks it for you. Do you currently lift weights? If not lift weights - as muscle burns more calories than fat - so as you convert fat to muscle your metabolism will increase so even resting you will burn more calories than before. Remember that its not always about weight, get out a tape measure or watch for differences in your clothes. If you did not work out previously you may be gaining muscle and losing fat but muscle, due to its high density, weighs more than fat. As for losing water weight - your lose that in the beginning - since you have already lost 15 lbs my guess is you are burning fat currently.
