Question:

Does anyone else feel exhausted after working out for 2 months straight and eating nothing but healthy food?

I am 20 years old and i had a baby 11 months ago, i thought i was going to go back to my pre prego size fast considering i was thin and young. BUT of course that didn't happen. I have to lose 15 more lbs to be what i use to be. Ive been doing a routine for 2 months now, i work out on the elliptical for 30 min everyday and then work on my arms, stomach, hips area. I only eat whole wheat bread, wholegrain spagetti, mahi, turkey, chicken, yogurt, raw veggies, and sometimes fruit, drink only h2o. Ive lost 10lbs but now it feels like i cant shed any more. I am exhausted to by the way.i have a 11 months old boy who runs around the house all day, i go to school at night, and i do everything around the house. I have been taking a break for 5 days now and feel like a fat *** completely! But i am SO tired. I feel like im gaining weight back and i have even been walking outside to have some exercise. Does anyone know how to get off this plates im stuck on? I want to lose 10-15lbs and im determind

Answers:

Yes. Your metabolism is probably slowing because you're being so hard on yourself. That happened to me when I was trying to loose weight too.
Give yourself more breaks, and get your energy back. You need it! You're running around enough!

Also, cheating on your diet every once in a while gives your metabolism a boost. If you have to willpower to stick to your diet the rest of the time, a cheat now and then is good for you. One of my favorites is Dairy Queen ice cream cones. They're only 130 calories and the calcium helps you loose weight.

Drink rice milk- it fills you up, but it has calcium that you need!
MORE FIBER! watch your fiber intake. Fiber is the weight loss ally. You NEED it to regulate your digestive system, get more energy, and get the most out of the food you eat.Assuming that there;s alot of fiber just because it's whole grain isn't enough. Read labels. Everything you eat should have 3 grams or more.
There's this great cereal called "Go Lean" by kashi. 10 grams of fiber per serving. It's amazing. Check it out.

Grapefruit lowers your blood glucose level. That means what you eat next counts less.

When you're EXHAUSTED- don't work out. Take a break. Your body is telling you that it needs a recharge- listen to it. Sleep and rest is vital for weightloss.

Also, make sure that you're getting enough protien. I became a vegetarian last year and it took me some time to figure out my protien levels.
Mahi and turkey is great! Low-cal and high protien- but you need more. Try TVP - textured vegetable protein. It's low calorie and high in protien and it has NO toxins. Also fat free. You can usually find it by the cheese or ask a stock worker if they have "smartbeef" or "Smartchicken". They have all different varieties and it's made by "lightlife".

EAT FRUIT AND JUICES! They might have sugar, but it's the good kind that your body can digest easy and won't turn into fat. You need the acids and the vitamins to make you feel better and to clean out your system. Gotta clean out that system.

also, some fats are good. When you cook, or toss a salad or a pasta- use olive oil! Eat an avacado! Your body needs good fats.

you WILL get there. Just be patient with yourself and don't bully yourself into it.
