Before muscle workouts, you want to make sure you're well fed too (but not feeling full)!. This is done best with slower digesting food!. Something like lean steak with oatmeal and some veggies would be good!.

If you're talking about cardio, doing it in a fasted state is best!. (I!.e!. right after you wake up in the morning, or right after doing a muscle workout!.) You can still have a protein shake after cardio too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
