Will this help me lose weight?
i want to lose weight desperately, about 20lbs in 20days. its a bit far-fetched but never mind. this is my plan: i eat 2 slices of bread, with peanut butter in the mornings, &for lunch i usually eat rice, an egg and 2 servings of veggies. for dinner i eat rice, 1 serving of veggies &about 1 or sometimes 2 servings of meat. i also eat bananas &pears. i usually snack on 2 more pieces of bread.
i also want to go to the gym about 3 times a week, &do pilates 4 times a week? is this okay? how much weight will i lose in how much time? thanks : D
Answers:
Why in 20 days? Not a safe or realistic goal. On the other hand, your meal plan sounds relatively balanced & healthy. Just make sure you don't eat that exact thing every day. If you don't mix things up, you run a higher risk of being deficient in some nutrient, & you might get so bored with your food that you simply give up.
The weight you lose depends on a lot of things, such as your body fat % vs lean body mass, weight, gender, age, metabolism... & willpower.
My advice? Eat about fewer calories (but not too few either!) than you burn each day, eat healthy, stick to your workout plan, & see what happens. ;-)
