How can I boost my metabolism?!


Question: How can I boost my metabolism!?
I lost a lot of weight after being quite sick and now have a very slow metabolism and I'm putting a heap of weight back on!. I dont want this extra weight!. I eat healthily and exercise!. Will exercise boost my metabolism!? What else can I do to help get it going!. I know this question's been asked before but the answers are mainly to do with supplements which I'm not really sure about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You've hit on the two key components in understanding your body - metabolism and exercise!. Combined, the calories from these must be more than the calories you eat or you will start adding fat!.

Adding muscle will increase your resting metabolic rate and, as you suggested, exercising will increase the calories you use up too!.

Just me, myself, and my iPod suggested natural green tea!. Green tea causes an increase in thermogenesis!.!. that is you'll heat up slightly and this heating can result in a resting metablic rate increase of up to 4% So if your resting metabolic rate as a woman who has a slow metabolism is 1100 calories (not knowing your age, weight or height it's hard to say), then this would translate into an additional 44 calories burned each day, or 1320 burned a month!.!.!. it takes 3,500 calorie deficit to lose a pound of fat, so drinking green tea could help you to lose a pound every 2 and a half months!. In my book it's not really worth the bother!.

I would go and visit your doctor after your illness to have him rule out any metabolic disorders that may have been triggered due to your illness!. Disorders involving the thyroid and insulin can cause rapid weight gain and should be ruled out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

eat little bits and often, it keeps your metabolism going!. Also foods such as chilli and cayenne boost it also!. Drink plently of water and add some fresh lemon to it, this will help cleanse the toxins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

drink 1-2 gallons of water per day and try to eat 6 small meals a day!. along with some weight training and cardio ur metabolism will be much higher!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
