Why do I weigh so much, but don't look that big?!?!


Question: Why do I weigh so much, but don't look that big!?!!?
I weigh 240 and I'm 5 foot 8, yet I don't look big at all!!
I don't work out regularly, and I eat semi-healthy!. I'm a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) so I spend a lot of time on my feet moving around and lift people!.!.could it be that I have THAT much muscle on me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

To put it into perspective, at 5'8 and 240lbs, that's a football running back or even full back!. cornerbacks at that height are about 160-180!.

If you don't work out regularly, than it would definitely be hard to say that's all muscle!. And with lifting people, I'm an EMT and our lifts are purely based on proper technique and physics not so much strength, if the lift is too heavy for us there are firefighters who can help us!.

But 5'8 240lbs is a bit extreme for male or female!. Your body might just hide it well!. Muscle weighs more than fat but again, look at the shorter football players who all play runningback, they're over 200lbs (think it's an NFL requirement to be at least a certain weight, not sure about NCAA) and those guys are all muscle, and they look like they're um!.!.!. huge muscle bond guys!. And males tend to carry muscles higher!.

Looks can be misleading, you know that!. Healthy looking people can be very sick, etc!. So get your body fat percentage, this can be done at a gym, or maybe at your work place!. Typically 22% or higher is consider overweight for males, and somewhere around 30ish% is overweight for female!. That would give you the most definite answer, and from that you can take whichever course of action you like!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Muscle DOES weigh a lot!. I think that this is an important factor regarding your size!. Also, your weight must be distributed pretty much evenly on your body, which makes it look the way it does!. If it were concentrated in your legs, or tummy for example, it might make you look bigger!. Lastly, 5'8 is tall for a female, which makes you look thinner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I really don't think that is possible at all to have that much muscle!.
It all depends on what your definition of big is and what "semi-healthy" isWww@Answer-Health@Com

It could be that, or it could be that you have good proportions!.
If your weight is evenly distributed (lol meaning you have curves in all the right places), then you will probably look significantly lighter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's hard to tell without a picture, because you might be telling yourself in the mirror that your not that big so thats what you see!.

It could be yeahh or you could just have a high metabolism!. You shouldn't be wishing to look big!! Just stay away form unhealthy snacks and that can help loads as i found out my self!. Good Luck :) Www@Answer-Health@Com
