What's the lowest absolute BMR any person can have?!
Question:
What's the lowest absolute BMR any person can have?
Assuming they're in starvation mode or something, what's the absolute lowest BMR does a body need to survive basic function?
Answers:
It depends on their weight, but if a person was emaciated and had been starving for a long time, the body could adjust itself to maintain weight on whatever amount of food the person was living on for the last year. The body may have to sacrafice the proper function of organs in the process, but it could reduce itself to 250 calories a day. That's only for a very severe case of long-term starvation, not crash-diet starvation.
