Yes it is true that you should eat right after exercising!. At that point, your body wants/needs calories, so it won't get stored as fat!. It will be used as energy!.

If you exercise and then don't eat, your body may be forced to eat your own muscle to get the energy it needs, and you don't want that!.

My favorite thing to consume right after a workout is strawberry whey by Optimum Nutrition mixed with some orange juice!. Sugar and fast acting protein are good for you right after a workout!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you want to grow muscle mass, you should take some protein - shake or in a food form - 30 minutes after the workout, and then, again - 2 hours after the workout!.
If you want to lose weight by exercising, you should not eat 2 hours before and 2 hours after workout!. You should not eat protein 5 hours before and after the workout (when you eat in 2 before - 2 after period, it's something else, and nothing which contains protein - meat, cheese, curds and so on)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your metabolism doesn't change that quickly for long!. After exercise, your heart rate is simply increased as well as blood flow!. It's best to have protein and water or a snack before you exercise so that your body has energy to run on, then when you finish, drink plenty of water before eating a regular size meal!.
