Question: Help!!! Why am I so big!!!!!!!!?
I feel so fat!. I know I'm in normal range but when i compare myself to people my age, I feel so big!. I'm 5'4", 120lbs, and 14!. I usually intake 1000 calories or less everyday, whether i exorcise or not!. But I'm a size 5!. At the beginning of 8th grade i weighed 130 lbs and was a size 3!. I decided to lose weight so i went on weight watchers and dropped to 115 in 2 months, but instead of shrinking i moved to a size 5!. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! but i feel like i'm going to have to go to size 7 soon and it scares me to death!. I want to pull my hair out when i see the size 0-2 girls pig out wile I'm trying my best to lose weight!. Even my best friend eats more than me (also in track), and is a size 00!. Also I'm pretty small other than my thighs and butt, which run in the family!. Can anyone help!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay soo your 5'4 and 120 pounds and a size 5!?!?!?

That doesn't make sence girl! u sound like u should be a size 1 no more!.

Well like i said before im 5'6 and 108 pounds and im a size 0 and sometimes 1!.

I think that you should just make sure you excersise everyday and eat healthy and have at least 1000-1300 cal's a day!. Make sure there not junk food!.

For breakfast try eating like a cup (serving size) of cheerioes with a small amount of milk!. OR you can go buy oatmeal packets at the store and there like 160 calories per one and u just add water to it and heat it up in the micro for 60 secs and thats a healthy low calorie breakfast!.

the cheerioes are 100 calories and the milk if u dont put much in can only add up to maybe between 130-150 calories!.

Lunch- Eat half a sandwich of somekind!. Don't eat the whole thing try just eating half!. Buy bread thats like 80 or 90 cal's per slice and add some kind of meat or a little peanut butter!. Dont go over board!. Dont add mayonaise if u make a meat sandwich!. Lettuce, and mustard are good because theres very few calories in lettuce and none in mustard!.
Add some type of 100 calorie side with your sandwich!.

Apple-100 cal's
Banana-100-150 cals'
Cottage Cheese- 1/2 cup =100 cals
Pretzels- 19 is 110 cal's or u can just eat 10 and thats like 55 cal's or so!. Pretzels fill me up alot!.

For Dinner just enjoy whatever your mom makes or make your self something and don't worry about how much because by this time of the day u can have probably a 500-600 calorie dinner or so!.

Breakfast would add up to 150 calories!.
Luch would add up to like 300 calories!.
Dinner can be your biggest meal!.

Drink alot of Water too!.!.


Try running or jogging 2 mile per day!. Walk about 1-2 miles too!. Try not to sit that much standing and walking around the house finding something to do burns calories (lmfao)!.Go hang out at the mall and walk around with ur friends burns alot of calories!. Go to the Grocery Store with ur mom and walk around (burns calories + u can buy healthy foods lol)!.


It takes time!. Try not to do to much sprinting if your in track because i heard sprints give u big muscles and if u try doin distance it tones your legs down alot which is good!

you seem pretty unstable, at your age i would suggest just eating healthy and living with your size! im trying to loose weight to, im 5' 8" and weigh 142 pounds, i want to get down to 125 and a size 4! im not really fat, im pretty toned! and my ribs show around a 2 pack XD

i feel your pain!. when i was your age, i think i weighed 140 & wore a size 9!. it's just our genes!. we're built bigger than other girls!. it's nothing to be ashamed of, but it does sound like you'll really watch your weight & what you eat throughout your entire life!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your weight is healthy on a scale, I walk a lot which helps me and I use pilates to tone the rest of my body and I'm also a size 5 and I weight 106!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, your still growing and will be for a while!. Your body is going through all those changes you keep hearing about and that will affect your body shape and weight a whole lot!.

If you're 5'4" and 120 lbs, your bmi would be roughly 20!.6 ( http://www!.nhlbisupport!.com/bmi/)!. In the lower range of a healthy number!. I might also add that eating less that 1000 calories a day is pretty damn restrictive considering that you need to get in all your vitamins and other daily nutritional needs!. Plus your body goes into "starvation mode" and converts more of what you eat to fat!. Try to increase it slowly to a minimum of 1200!.

Perhaps it's just bloating!? Are you regular!? If not, drink plenty of water (with a little lemon/lime if you like) or green tea!. Plus yogurt's amazing too!.

Seriously, I have friends that EAT and are skinnier than me!. People come in all sizes and metabolisms!. You're fine! As long as you feel you are healthy than you have nothing to worry about!.

I should add that you shouldn't really count on the number on your tag for anything!. They vary VASTLY from store to store (some places I'm anywhere from a 0 to a 4!.!.!.even in the same place!)!.

You are growing and maturing!. That is a good thing!. You're not overweight!. 1000 is too little calories to eat daily!. I would take in at least 1500!. Less, will slow down your metabolism, which is something that will cause you problems later!.

Some girls take longer to mature, which is probably why your friend is so small still!. And also, I bet the track runner is working out pretty intensively and burning off much of what she eats!. That's why she's pigging out!. She's really hungry!. I used to be the size of your friend!. And let me tell you, I hated my body because I DIDN'T have curves!. Smaller isn't always better!.

Don't be ashamed of your curves!. Curves are wonderful on a woman!.

I understand you're probably not used to them, but trust those older than you!. If you're not an unhealthy weight, curves are nothing but good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
