Okay so im 15 years old, and i only weight 118 pounds!. I go to the gym monday, wednesday, and thursday!. I do some upper body machines, and the ab crunches!. I recently started trying to eat more protein last week!. My normal day goes as this:
5:45 Cereal

3:00 peanut butter sandwich and banana
3:30 Scoop of peanut butter
5:00 Dinner such as sandwich, mozzarella sticks, or chicken sandwich
6:00-7:30 gym
8:00 Ice cream w/ peanut butter on top (not already on there)

Is this fine!? What else can i do for more protein/gain weight!? BTW im only 15, and no protein powders or anything like that!.!.!.

Answers:
learn this at a young age!. protein is important for muscle healing and growth, however its not as crucial as you think!. you need to load of up on carbs(about half the calories you eat)!. not sure why your eating so much peanut butter, you are over doing it!. peanut butter is not the best choice for protein, replace that with some chicken, or fish or something besides that!. also you need to start avoiding the junk food, as it will slow down your process in building muscle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A healthy weight depends on height!. a 5 foot tall person could have 118 as a pretty much normal weight!. However, a 6 foot tall person would be underweight!. Whether you need to gain weight or not should be talked about with a doctor or nutritionist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't eat too much protein! You do need more complex carbs too!.

I hate to tell you this, but you sound like one of those guys who's just a lean guy!. Short of becoming a pro athlete, you probably won't bulk up until you're in your early/mid-twenties!.

Also, by increasing your muscle mass, you're increasing your already fast metabolism!. It isn't important that you're not gaining weight!. It's important that you're working out and healthy!. :)

Also, find a way to integrate more complex carbs into your diet like fruits and veggies!. They are just as important as protein!. I'm not positive on this, but carbs are burned first so you won't burn off protein!. They also take longer to burn off because they aren't simple sugars AND they improve body functions like eyesight, memory, etc!.

Also, try decreasing the fat in your diet!. Peantut butter is a tasty protein, but it's SO fatty!. Try regular nuts instead of peanut butter on your ice cream!. Increase the amount of fish in your diet and maybe get some soy protein bars!. They aren't too bad and they aren't fatty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
