Question:

I am 4'11 and 150lbs. I would like to get back down to 125lbs by the end of august. How can I make this work?

I do have a membership to NYSC, I just need a plan that I can stick to. Diet and Exercise. I would love your feedback.

Answers:

You can make this work if you keep in mind that for permanent weight loss, you need a plan you are willing to commit to for life. (After I typed that I reread your post and realized you know that already. Haha sorry). The best plan, without a doubt, is a healthy, well balanced diet combined with regular exercise.

Your four best friends:
Whole grains (breads and pastas)
Fruits
Veggies
lean protein (skim milk, eggs, lean meats, nuts, light cheese and yogurt, etc, etc).
Water, tea, and if you need soda, make it diet.

Take advantage of the gym. Make exercise one of those commitments you just can't get out of. It is non-negotiable. It should be fun, however. Find a workout you enjoy (perhaps take a class, or just do different things each time to keep it interesting).

To keep your metabolism revved, the rule is: NEVER, EVER, EVER skip meals. This may take some planning. Have on-the-go meal options available in your home that can fit in your purse or a drawer in your desk at work. 4 or 5 small meals every day also keep up your met. and your energy.

Of course, stay away from fast food and chips and ice cream and regular soda. If you have a weakness with a particular food, make a plan to let yourself indulge once in a while by having a little bit. The key word there, of course, is "little".

Heres a great site with tips and info on all this stuff. Good luck, I really hope you reach your goal!
