If I ate too much today, can I still lose 2 lbs by August 23rd?!

Question: If I ate too much today, can I still lose 2 lbs by August 23rd!?
So I've set a goal to lose 2 lbs this week!. Anyway, I was doing really well and I had got really high with a friend ( plz dont lecture me) and I avoided the munchies and didn't eat anything!. After that I went home and realized my dad was having a huge barbeque and I was waiting around for him to make dinner (I hadnt eaten in like 6 hours at this point) and I was snacking on some bread and cheese in the mean time!. At dinner they served me a full plate and I finished the meal, and afterwards ate a cupcake!. This morning I had two eggs and thin sliced turkey, and two peices of turkey for lunch!. I also had 9 chips ahoy!.

I know I really screwed up today, and I've been steadily losing weight for a while, I think i screwed up because I got high for the first time in 6 months!. I plan on making up for this tomorrow by working out, but have I ruined my possibility to lose 2 lbs for this week!? How quickly can your body gain a pound!? And, also, if you eat 3500 calories one day, and you only burn 2000, so you have 1600 hundred calories stored, and then you dont eat for the whole next day, are you still losing weight or are you still digesting the food you ate the day previously!?

Please don't tell me about starvation mode because I've heard it so many times!. I just know that I screwed up and I want to know what the most efficient way to make up for my mistake is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
it is realistic
what you can do is:
avoid high fat/calorific foods for the next week
drink plenty of water (at least 5-6 cups)
exercise daily for about an hour (inc!. 30 mins of cardio)
avoid snacking on sugary/fatty foods (e!.g!. chips, cookies)
snack on more healthier foods
burn more calories than what you consume

really this is basic, rudimentary advice

i am sure you have been doing all of the above during your weight-loss regimen; ergo, you'll have no problem losing those 2 lbs by next Saturday

remember: STAY POSITIVE and NO ONE IS PERFECT (we all have our slip-ups!)
