Time to start exercising.?!

Question: Time to start exercising!.!?
But I have some questions!.!.!.

I'm about 50 lbs overweight and I know I really need to lose it (my size 14 pants are getting too small!. I'd like to go down to s size 10)!.

I have a problem though!.!.!.

I was in a bad car accident in 2004!. I now have a metal rod in my left leg that runs from my knee to my ankle!. It starts to hurt fairly easily if I'm not careful!. This means that things like yoga, figure skating, running, or any exercise that requires bouncing is completely out of the question!. I can barely climb stairs without something to hold onto, never mind run!. My knee just isn't strong enough to handle it!.

I can't afford a trainer or to join a gym!.

I do however have a recumbant bike that I plan on using!.

So!.!.!. my question is this!.!.!. how long do you recommend I use the bike for beginning a regimen and how often!?

Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Aim for 30 minutes 5 times per week!. You will also need to decrease your calorie intake, especially since exercise is so limited for you!.

Good for you that you are starting!. I would say use teh bike for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to start, every day!. Then, when that's becomes comfortable, go to an hour!. For wight training, get some exercise bands and use them to work your arms and shoulders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

at first use it alot then once ur better try something more like elliptical or treadmillWww@Answer-Health@Com
