Can someone offer me some advice for a 40 pound weight loss?!


Question: Can someone offer me some advice for a 40 pound weight loss!?
I used to be an elite swimmer in college and had my daughter shortly after!. I gained almost 60 pounds during the pregnancy and am still 40 pounds overweight!. Now that my daughter is 2 1/2 I am really wanting to get back into my pre-baby body! I have a strong background in working out!.!.!.BUT I hate the gym!. It gives me no motivation and I would much rather jog or cycle in my neighborhood!. I am giving myself until next summer to reach my total weight loss goal!. Can anyone offer me some good tips or advice for running and cycling!? BTW, I am 5'8" and currently at 168 pounds!. Thanks so much for all the help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months!. I dropped 4 dress sizes!. That was 2 years ago!. I have since then been able to maintain my weight with ease!.

I struggled more and more after the birth of my last boy!. I have 4 boys!. Anyway, yes many diets did work and I managed to lose considerable amounts of weight!. But unfortunately, as soon as I stopped dieting all the weight would pile back on, plus more!.

So I decided to change my lifestyle!. I ate a really healthy sensible diet and embarked on regular exercise!. Two things I had not done before!. The results were amazing!.

I kept all junk foods, ready made processed meals, alcohol and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum!. These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat!. Junk food is just what it says - JUNK!. With one added ingredient in - FAT!. Yes I do have the odd glass of wine, a biscuit or two!. But MODERATION is the KEY!.

I included more wholefoods into my diet!. Such as brown bread, brown pasta, brown rice, beans & pulses!. These are high in fibre and will keep you feeling fuller for longer!.

I eat lean meats (no fat on) poultry (no skin on), fish with scales on (no batter), eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables ((including potatoes) making sure I keep them plain and simple, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, and non sugary cereals!.

TRY to MOVE as MUCH as YOU CAN!. EXERCISE will really help to acelerate your weight loss and then help to maintain it once you have lost weight!.

I took up running!. Obviously, I started off very slowly and gradually built it up!. I now run on a regular basis!. I also walk whenever I can, go swimming and ride a bike!. Running is an high impact exercise!. Running is an extremely efficient way to burn calories!. You must make sure you have the correct footwear!. Try also to give yourself a day off in between running!. You could cycle on those days!.

The benefits of exercise far outweigh the effort it takes!. The body is designed to MOVE!.

One thing you have to remember though is that you will only lose weight if you burn more calories than you consume!. This why you will have to combine any exercise along with a healthy diet!.

I wish you lots of good luck in your quest to lose weight!. You have set yourself a goal!. You won't lose the weight overnight, just as it did not go on overnight!. But it is possible to achieve your goal!. Be patient!. It can be done!.

its nice to hear that you really do lots of cardio!.!.!.you need to do toning exercises too like pilates and yoga often,which can be learnt online at no cost!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
