Whatever you do, be smart about it!. Here's what I recommend (it worked for me - I lost 50 in 6 months)

- The South Beach Diet!. You can lose 8 - 13 pounds in the first two weeks!. During those two weeks, you eat lots of lean protein, low starch veggies, low fat dairy and nuts!. It's a little restrictive but it's worth it!. After the first two weeks you add in fruits and whole grains!. It's good to start eating like this while your young - it's a lifestyle change, not a diet!

- Walking!. I did 5 - 6 miles a day everyday!. I know they recommend taking a day off in between but oh well!. You might want to start out with just a mile or two!. Don't over do it!

- Weight lifting!. Most women (I'm assuming you're a woman) think that lifting weights will add bulk!. Not true! You'd have to lift really heavy weight to add bulk!. Get some 5 pound weights for your arms!. Do crunches, squats, scissors, leg lifts!.!.!. There are lots of sites on the web that have examples of toning exercises you can do that don't require any weights or equipment!.

If you lose the recommended (because it's the healthiest)1 - 2 pounds a week plus at least 10 in the first two on the diet, you could lose 40 pounds in as little as 17 weeks, or about 4 months!. And don't give up if you hit a plateau or have a set back!. Everyone has them!. The key to success is to get over them!

I'm 5'6, weight 165 and am 17 years old!. I can say we kinda relate!.

Eat salads!. I swear, that's the most easiest way!. They taste great, very little calories (with light ranch and light meat of course), and is very beneficial to your body!.

Everyday for lunch, go to McDonalds and get a Caesar Salad!. The salad itself with the GRILLED chicken is 200 calories based on their nutrition guide!. Add the ranch, you get 390-400 calories!.

400 calories for a complete meal!.

Losing 10 pounds a month is fast progression!. If you want those results, eat the salad as much as you can!.
Drink LOTS of water!. Absolutely NO soda!. Drink some milk and 100% juices!.

Watch what you eat!. When you go to a restaurant, you see a 1/2 lb thickburger that looks delicious, what do you do!? YOU IGNORE IT!.

Chicken is a healthier choice of meat, NOT fried though!.

Trust me, I lost 10 pounds in about 2 weeks doing this!. I didn't even exercise!. Vegetables is purely the best way!. With the occasional meat!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible if you work really hard ! I lost 41 pounds in just under 4 months, I ate healthy ( fruit, veggies, whole grains etc!. ) and I exercised for about 1 hour a day!. ( Try to exercise in your problem areas ) =D
By the way : I am female, 13 years old, 5'0, 100 pounds !.
If a 13 year old can do it, you can do it :]
Don't give up!. Just try as hard as you can and turn to your friends and family for motivation!.
