Is it better to eat before I run, or to eat after I run?!


Question: Is it better to eat before I run, or to eat after I run!?
I've been running for almost two weeks now and I wondered which one is preferable!. I'm doing it in the morning so I need to have breakfast, I'm just not sure when exactly!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on why you're running!.

If you're trying to lose weight, running in the morning on an empty stomach is a great way to burn fat since there's nothing in the stomach to burn!. Just make sure you drink plenty of water!.

If you're just running for fun, eating before will help you not feel fatigued on your run!. Just make sure you give yourself a little time to digest before starting, though!. It's the same rule as for swimming: 30 minutes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should eat and then at least 30 minutes later then run!. When you exersize on an empty stomache, it puts extra stress on your body!. And when you have some food in your stomache, then running will actually burn those calories and maybe even some fat!. You should eat something like a piece of fruit or a small cup of yogurt before you go out to run!. This will give you a bit of energy and help to prevent cramping!. After you finish your run and cool down, it is best to eat an actual meal to replace what was loss during you run to speed recovery!. Both!. Before for energy, and after to lift your glycogen levels so you can recover faster!. I know you may not feel like eating or drinking, neither do I, but it is imperative so you have a faster recovery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to burn the most fast, then the early morning is best prior to eating as your glycemic index is at it's highest versus at the end of the day!. You will get much better results in the morning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say eating something light before running would be best!. Food is energy!. Energy is burned when active!. So if you want to workout efficiently without running out of energy, eat beforehand!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
