I have to fast for my charity?!


Question: I have to fast for my charity!?
ok so me and 10 Friends some Friends from my church are hosting a charity to help the hungry

its where we gather a group of ppl
go to the doctor to get an okay from are doctors
then stay in this place with matresses and books and stuff and people come and donate money so we can't eat for a week just water
my question is do you look skinnier!?
do your clothes get to big!?
do you faint if your a healthy 20 year old that is normal weight!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow! That sounds interesting!. You will definitely lose a lot of weight! I would say you could lose 10 lbs!. However you will probably gain it all back when you start eating normally again the next week!.

However it isn't going to be like your clothes will fall off or anything, just be a little looser!. And you could only faint if you try to do any physical activity, which it doesn't seem like you'll be doing much!. After a day or two your body will get used to not eating and you will be ok!. You could technically live almost a month on water alone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

While it is commendable to want to help others and feel what it is like to be hungry, I would instead suggest that a more practical way to help the hungry would be to actually collect some food and give to them!.
Or gather donations of food that can be made into hot nourishing food like soup, casserole or stew and go somewhere where it is really needed to give it to those who are hungry!.
After all when you are hungry and have no food that is more meaningful than someone going without to raise money - is actually filling a need as it exists
Another idea is to go without a meal each for one night or whatever each week and donate the money to a soup kitchen or similar - perhaps your church may consider starting one and the rest of the congregation can help too by donating time or food to help - that way none of you will get sick trying to help others - individually will not raise much but multipy by many and see what happens - perhaps you and your friends may encourage others by example to also help out
You could also look around places such as your school and other community venues and see if there are people who need help - who do not have breakfast because they cannot afford it - you could start a cupboard filled with donations to give to these people or even have a cupboard or bin that you can place non perishable items in and when it gets a reasonable amount - give them to a charity which feeds the hungry
So you can see that there are many ways to help without compromising your own health - see how many you can think of Www@Answer-Health@Com

This just sounds plain unhealthy!. It's probably not a wise idea to ingest nothing but water for an entire week!.

But you will lose some weight, some fat and probably a lot of muscle as well, which you are likely to gain once you resume your normal diet!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
