What is the best breakfast to have before you work out?!

What is the best breakfast to have before you work out?

I already know something high protien. But like what are some high protien things?


Answers:

You seem to have your information mixed up. You want to eat items high in protein AFTER you exercise. This will help your muscles restore and build.

You want to eat items with carbohydrates before you ex cerise. They will give you the energy to make it through your workout.

A good compromise, though, would be two eggs and a slice or two of whole wheat toast (using only whole wheat bread, which is different than wheat bread). If you'd like, you could even through on some lean turkey lunch meat for extra flavor AND protein.

Edit - the people above me seem to have their information mixed up. There is very little protein in fruit. All-fruit smoothies are good for you, but there's minimal protein to be had. If you had one before you worked out, you would definitely want to follow up with some protein after your workout (as I indicated above).

Also, the poster that suggest bacon - NO. Pork bacon is extremely high in saturated fat and sodium. Turkey bacon is a healthy alternative with just as much protein and minimal saturated fat (though sodium content is still high). It can be tasty, but is rarely the best choice possible.
