What is the best type of meditation?!


Question:

What is the best type of meditation?

Sometimes I think I'd feel better if I just cleared my mind... I really don't know much about meditation so I was wanting to know if anyone could help... Any answer would be greatly appreciated... Just tell me what works for you.... Thanks in advance!

Find a room with nothing to distract you-put the phone on silent, no tv, and turn off any computers. If you want, play your favorite CD so quietly you can barely hear it. Keep your back straight, and pretend you are trying to touch the top of your spine to the ceiling. Relax your legs-don't use any of that pretzel position crap. Focus on relaxing your legs until you can't feel the tips of your toes. Then do the same with your arms. Palms up, on your knees keep your joints as relaxed as you can. Now close your eyes and concentrate on the sounds around you (and if you turned on music, listen to it as well and concentrate on it. Don't use radio stations) Then once your focus in centered in on one thing, try to tune it out and keep trying until it's in the backround and is not what you are focusing on. Focus on your body and not feeling anything, and only you but nothing else.

Try it-it works for me and my friends-it may not be what most people do but it works amazingly! Good luck!
