Dramatic increase in fitness - is this possible?!


Question: Dramatic increase in fitness - is this possible!?
I have a HRM watch which tests my fitness, when I first tested it I got a score of 40 - moderate fitness!. Now 3 weeks on I just got a score of 55 - elite!.
I have been running lots at high intensity (HR 170+) in those 3 weeks but I would not have thought this would have been enough to increase my fitness so much in such a short time!.
Do you think this is possible or is there a problem with my watch!?

Yes it is possible if you are exercising at a high intensity you can expect your aerobic fitness to go up by 10 -20% per week, equally if you stop exercising you can expect it to drop by that amount too!.

Fitness if fickle, you can get fit quickly and you can get unfit quickly, the hardest part is keeping your fitness at a suitable level!.

Yes, I think it is possible!. Maybe 3 weeks ago you didn't exercise at all and now you have started exercising and it's helped you so much x Www@Answer-Health@Com
