if you want to lose weight:
You have to create at least a 500 c /day deficit to lose 1 lb per week (aka 3,500c deficit = 1 lb of fat) and double that you lose 2 lb per week. Depending on your BMR and how active you are will tell you how much your body is expending without exercise (but if you don't exercise your BMR will significantly drop) Your BMR will also increase with physical activity. You'll need to reduce your caloric intake from food and drink at least 250-500c, but know how much your body needs to function by basing that number off of how many calories your burn for your BMR, because that is how many calories your body needs to make a heart beat, breathe and brain functioning. Losing weight takes time and if you lose 10lbs in one week it will only be water weight and you won't look any thinner. The second you eat again you'll gain back twice as much because your body has gone into starvation mode and will store everything you eat as fat. Make sure to exercise 30-60 min/day and weight train 2-3 times per week and lean muscle will burn more calories at rest.
