Can you loose weight when on medication?!

Can you loose weight when on medication?
Hi out there what i need to know is i am on a medication and the results of the medication are weight gain,i can not change the medication and have to be on it untill september.
I eat very well i do not eat junk,drink junk like no alchohol, fizzy drinks,dilute drinks,i dont eat junk no toffees,chocholate,biscuits just healthy fruits, fish lean meats and vegetables i am involved in a few activities with my small daughter and try to walk when possible and not in a rush i just do not eat enough to warrant the weight gain.
I am now really starting to feel the effects of the weight on my feet and just in everyday tasks and i need to now if anyone knows for certain if i the weight can be lost or as it is due to medication no matter what i do the weight will stay on no matter what i do.
If i could not loose the weight whilst on the medication when i come of the medication will the weight come of me itself..

it depends on what medication, if it is steroids, like for asthma, it will be very difficult to lose weight
