Question: I gained weight!.!.!.i need to lose it NOW!!?
Hello i am 14 years old
5'7 and 125lbs!.
at the beging of summer i was 5'5 1/2 and 119lbs!.
i want to get down to 115lbs!.
really realy soon!.
i need to be skinnier!.
i am soo freaking fat its not even funny!.

any ideas of how to lose weight soon!?

You're definitely not fat!. In fact, you're on the low end of the healthy weight spectrum for your hight!.

you gained weight because you grew- period : )

There is no problem with your weight!. Your problem is that you are developing anarexia!. (a condition like a phobia for fat)!. Believe me! you don't want to go down this road!.

Here are some reasons not to have anarexia:
1!. It's unfitting for a human being: There is so much more to you than just how you look!
2!. You become a slave to it!. Your rational mind bows out to shallow, irrational anxiety!.
3!. It's unhealthy (In extreme cases fatal)
4!. It causes you to be insecure and always needing other people's reassurence (You're much stronger than this!)


My advice:

~Remember, The thing you are so afraid of (fat) is not the end of the world!. Many people who are chubby are also very loved and happy!. You don't need to look like a model to be a blessing to people and enjoy their life!.

~Just because you see fat when you look in the mirror does not mean that is what other people see!.

~Don't worry!. Eating healthy won't make you blow up like a balloon!. If you gain a little weight, it won't hurt you!. If you gain too much some day, you can lose it again!. No big deal! You might be thinking of people that are so obese that it disables them from having a normal life!. This is lightyears away from anything you're in danger of : )

The only way to stop anarexia is to face your fears!.
~ Stop saying " I'm fat!. " so that people will comfort you and tell you you're not!. You may be anxious lacking their reassurence for a while but this will die down as you persevere!.

~Don't constantly weigh yourself and look in the mirror!. Your body doesn't change from one minute to another!. Morover hour-to-hour day-to-day weight fluxuation don't mean a thing!. All you are doing is nursing your anxiety!. Moreover you are developing self conscious thought patters!. (Very detrimental to your character)

~Start working towards a healthy diet

~Exercise helps with the anxiety and makes you feel good (even if you don't feel like doing it)

Don't stress about losing weight right away!. It sounds to me like you are certainly not "fat!." Try doing some running, yoga, bike-riding, or any sport you like!. You're 14-just lose the weight by running around and playing with friends!. You need to learn to accept yourself, hun!. Some people take their size for granted, and they really dont know how well they have it!. at 5'7" and 125 pounds, you are quite slim, and should not be worrying about your weight!. Please dont think so lowly of yourself!.
