Does the Kimkins diet really work? No one getting paid to responde please!!!?!

Question:

Does the Kimkins diet really work? No one getting paid to responde please!!!?

I am wanting to lose about 70 pounds. I joined weight watchers, but read about kimkins in womans world. I know to lose weight it will take time, but I have to hand it to the advertising people with Kimkins because they make you believe it works...and if it does work...I want to do it. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it? Success or failure stories welcome but please no one getting paid to tell me how great it is.

Answers:

Yes it works, It is quick. The diet is a very simple diet. low carb and low fat. Very healthy eating. As for the comment about it not including fruit. Not many of us became fat from eating fruit. It includes low glycemic vegetables and proteins. I have been eating mostly fish, chicken, salads. Sometimes beef, sometimes a lowfat cheese. Yes it is a diet, and diets are not always easy, on the plus side it is quicker than most. This diet probably has more calories than most gastric bypass patients are eating daily, but the weight loss can be just as quick if not quicker. I have lost 32 lbs. I think it is cheaper compared to most diets. $60.00 is not much to pay, I know I have paid 100 times that in diets I have done over the years.. No prepackaged foods to buy. The best part the developer of this diet is involved on her site and still gives personal assistance answering questions about the diet. There is also a great group of people that are members that offer support, encouragement, and advice. The truth of the matter is that most diets will work if you work them. This one just works in double the time. Why be fatter longer than you have to? As you can tell I like the Kimkins way of life. To anyone who thinks this diet is unhealthy. What's unhealthy about lean meats/poultry/fish and low glycemic vegetable?

I have not always been perfect on this diet. Sometimes family events, holidays, etc, can get in the way. But this diet is easy to get back onto. Diets are usually 90% mental, are you ready for a diet?

I also am exercising, not a requirement for Kimkins, but after getting some weight off, I feel like moving again.

My best advice to anyone on a diet is to make theirself accountable to theirself or someone else. The only person you cheat by cheating is yourself.

You can get a fitday.com account for free to help you track food, activities, ect.

Good luck with your weight loss journey. If you get to Kimkins, look me up. swatkins
