What Kind of Protein Should I Get?!


Question: What Kind of Protein Should I Get!?
Hey, I'm in highschool, and I'm trying to put on muscle mass!. For the 6 hour day at school I need a very slow-digesting protein I can consume at breakfast to keep me out of a catabolic (muscle-burning) state!.

Which protein would digest slowly and be good for 6 hours!? I'm thinking I should either take Casein protein, or Whey protein mixed with milk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

optimum 100% nutrition whey isnt gonna last that long u need the casein protein!.!.and prob eat a good lunch with protein in it!?!? i got the same problem too so i take a protein bar with me to school bring a tuna sandwich and buy two milks at schools lunch then u wont have a problem u know so u wont need the protein for 6hrs going through ur system in the morning i say eat food like eggs/egg whites with a bagel and a tall glass of milk but if u want the longer lasting the casein protein is what u wantWww@Answer-Health@Com

For slow-digesting protein you want casein!. Whey protein is good for building muscle mass, but it works best if you use it for pre-workout and post-workout only!. As one poster already pointed out, whey protein digests quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's no way you're going to pus on muscle by eating once every 6 hours!. If you want to put on mass you gotta eat every two to three hours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
