What's the best way to determine if you're at a healthy weight?!


Question: What's the best way to determine if you're at a healthy weight!?
I understand that BMI doesn't take into consideration that muscle weighs more than fat so I'm wondering if there are any other more effective methods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get a body fat analysis done either at your local gym or family doctors!. they can use a device that will measure by pinching the amount of fat around arms, legs and stomach area or they can dunk you in a tub of water and see how much you displace!.

Or you can buy a scale from Walmart that will send an electric current through one foot to the other and by calculating the resistance will tell you your body fat percentage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the clear answer is lifestyle!. Weight itself hardly considers all the necessary factors, such as age, ethnicity, etc!. So if you're eating correctly (lots of vegetables, slightly less fruit, not too much red meat, cut out all the sugars you can), you are active every day (if you're huffing and puffing when you walk up a couple flights of stairs, it's a good sign you're out of shape) and your weight is stable, you know your weight is a healthy one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if you have so much muscle that you think it will throw off the BMI reading, chances are you needn't worry about that!. You're eating right presumably, exercising, and are health conscious!. Otherwise just do the BMI thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

idk, i think u can just tell!. im 170 and the BMI says im overweight, but i have a lot more muscle than fat, so yea that thing is deceptive!. but im not sure how to tell if ur at a healthy weight, i guess its up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
