No processed food diet?!


Question: No processed food diet!?
My doctor has put me on a diet of no processed food!. What exactly does this include!? I know lunch meat is a big one, but what else can be included on this list!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor is dingy!! the minute a food is picked from the field or the animal is slaughtered the "processing" begins!! However he means no pre packaged foods like the lunch meats, canned fruits and vegetables and stuff like that!.

You would do best to buy fresh or frozen meats in natural state, not breaded or preseasoned, fresh or frozen fruits and veggies!. Breads and cereals are highly processed foods, so avoid them!.

Try to eat natural for a while, cook the meats (beef, lamb, chicken, fish) simply, and have lots of salads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No frozen meals, no canned soup!.!.!. Most frozen or canned foods have a high sodium content!. Fruit and veggies are easy, as they should be recognizable!. Whole grains can be hard, as many things are advertised as whole grains that really aren't!. Look for oatmeal, bulgur, couscous, and things like that!. You'll want to make sure that they don't have a bunch of extra ingredients in the package!. Look for the same things with meat - packages that don't have a lot of extra stuff in them, just the meat!. Anything and everything that is "built up" and sitting on the grocery shelves!. Like you said, certain lunch meats (baloney, lunch meat with chesses and other things), TV dinners, chips, soups, cheese, potatoes in a box!.!.!.ready to be microwaved!.!.!.etc!.

anything that comes in a box, a package that is stored on a shelf!. something that you can just heat in a microwave such as frozen dinners!. something that contains a lot of sodium to keep it "fresh"!. you should eat whole foods like fruits and veggies!. lean protein, low fat milk, nuts!. and drink plenty of water!.
