What is the best time to run?

Well I know that running in the morning on an empty stomach is the best but like is it really a big difference then running before dinner? I try running in the morning but i just don't have the energy. But before dinner i run alot. How much more effective is it?

The most effective time to run or do any excercise is when you will actually do it and stick to the schedule.

there are conflicting opinions on when and how.

running on an empty stomach is not necessarily good because you are likely to be burning muscle as well as fat as you have not eaten anything for 8 or so hours. your body needs protien, guess what your muscles are made of? guess what gets broken down? you got it.

any difference in "running time" is negligible as the more important thing is that you stick to it.

if you are going to drop it because your performance is worse in the morning- then stick to it before dinner.
